Audi was the top-selling luxury car brand locally in 2009, the third consecutive year it has topped the rankings.
The Motor Industry Association on Monday said the luxury car market had weathered the economic conditions of 2009 well. Audi on Wednesday said its market share increased over the 12 months from 24.5% to 26.1%.
Two other luxury car brands, BMW and Mercedes Benz, also increased their market share in 2009.
Audi says sales held relatively steady for the year to December 2009, declining by 1.9% compared with an 8% fall in sales across the luxury vehicle sector overall.
