International airlines are taking on a local Sauvignon Blanc for business class in-flight dining.

The Mudhouse Group, established in 1996, will see its wines being served on international airlines this year.

Drinks from its wineries in Marlborough and Waipara Valley will be served on flights in Asia Pacific, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Singapore Airlines will be taking on the 2010 drop, while Qantas will be serving the 2009 Mud House Swan Pinot Noir.

Cathy Wansink, the company's marketing manager, said Air New Zealand has already caught on.

"The 2010 Mud House Central Otago Pinot Noir has been selected by Air New Zealand for international economy class flights and will be available in the near future," she said.

Wansink said one of the group's wines, the 2010 Wairapa Hills Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, helped Jetstar win the "Best Business Class White" in a recent award ceremony held in London.
