Tauranga locals have been invited to a public meeting tonight to update locals on the recovery situation and answer any questions. Kay Gregory spoke to Tauranga mayor Stuart Crosby for more information. The meeting will be held at 7.30pm at Baycourt, Tauranga.

Mt Hutt is the first ski field to open for the 2005 season. Reporter Juliet McVeigh hit the piste to assess the mountain's $7.5 million revamp.
