Day two of the road trip took the Breakfast team to Te Papa in Wellington.
Wellington may be the country's political capital but it Is also home to top level sports and cultural events, an impressive waterfront and a blossoming film trade. Mayor Kerry Prendergast talked to Breakfast about the city's successes.
While Breakfast celebrates it's 10th birthday, Te Papa is preparing to mark its first decade in business next year. The museum's acting chief Paul Brewer spoke about some of the great things that have happened since it opened.

Wellington is the power the base of the country but what do the politicians really think of the city? To give us an insight Breakfast was joined by two of the young guns of politics Labour's Darren Hughes and National's Paula Bennett.

One person who has been on Breakfast almost as much as the
presenters over the last 10 years is Prime Minister Helen Clark who
joined Breakfast to reminisce.
Matiu, Marie and Aroha Samuel's performed for Breakfast. The family
came home from the world dance challenge in Las Vegas with 19
trophies in hand. Matiu, the youngest, was crowned best in the
world for the eight and under section.
Then National Party leader John Key told us what he thinks of Wellington.
We caught up with former Breakfast presenter Liz Gunn, who is now living in Sydney.
Wellington is home to New Zealand's oldest zoo which has just received $15 million from the council for some redevelopment. Chief executive Karen Fifield told Breakfast what that cash boost means.
We wrapped up the show with roller skating champ Sarah-Jane
Jones. She is the only New Zealander to have ever won three medals
at the World Artistic Skating Championships.
