Sam Wallace is Breakfast's roving weatherman - and he hasn't yet met a challenge he isn't up to!
A self-confessed weather nerd, Sam has a Bachelor of Science degree, has been trained at the MetService, and knows how important it is to give Breakfast viewers the most complete forecast each morning.
He is also very competitive, and wants to give everything a crack. In the time he's been on Breakfast he has done a yoga class, driven a BMW racing car, walked the Auckland harbour bridge, grown terrible facial hair for charity and delivered live weather crosses while paddle boarding across Auckland harbour.
Sam loves the atmosphere on the Breakfast programme and says that the chemistry you see on air is real - the team genuinely likes each other.
Sam is a passionate North Shore lad - he's a Westlake Old Boy, lives on the Shore, supports the Breakers (which originally came from the Shore) and reckons the North Shore beaches are hard to beat.
Professionally, Sam has been at ONE News since mid 2011, starting first on Saturday Breakfast and graduating to 6pm weather presenting later that year. He became the fulltime weather presenter on Breakfast in 2012.
Before that he had an eight year stint at Sticky TV.
