Political young guns - Paula Bennett and Darren Hughes
Paula Bennett, 39, grew up in Taupo before moving to Auckland where she's now a proud "Westie" based in Waitakere. She's been a National Party MP since 2005 and currently has responsibility for early childhood education, community affairs and an associate role in labour and industrial relations.
Metro Magazine identified Paula as one of 47 Aucklanders who will make a difference in their fields over the next decade and beyond.
Her mantra for success? "Aspiration and believing in yourself with a huge dose of hard work can mean anything is possible".
Darren Hughes
At 24 Darren Hughes became New Zealand's youngest MP when he was elected MP for Otaki in 2002.
At the end of 2007, he was appointed Minister of Statistics, Associate Minister for Social Development and Employment and Deputy Leader of the House.
Darren loves representing his home patch in Parliament and enjoys talking politics each week with Paul, Pippa and Paula.
