Orewa - what an amazing beach. You can see why people would love to move here. The whole town is situated around the bay, and the beach seems to go on for miles.
This morning when we were there, there were hardly any waves either, the kind of water you just want to go paddle your feet in.
We got a great turnout - thanks to the Orewa surf life saving club for organising all of their crew.
There were a few highlights this morning. There was a woman who brought down a Christmas cake that she'd baked for me in a terracotta pot. Awesome. Also a little boy spent an hour making a big green sign which said "Tamati Coffey is the best". And all the dog walkers were out in full force, as well. Word must be catching on that I'm a dog person.
On that note, I do miss my dogs now, but I'll be home soon boys!
Now, though, we're heading to Tutukaka, just had brekkie in Warkworth. See y'all soon!
