Arming police officers
Breakfast talked to Police Association President Greg O'Connor about the police and public warming to the idea of officers being armed. He also discussed the proposed boyracer legislation, which the Association says won't go far enough to curb their behaviour.

Unemployment
Dianne Bradshaw was made redundant from Lane Walker Rudkin in May and estimates she's applied for fifty jobs. She told Breakfast about her hunt for employment, and the National Distribution Unio's National Secretary Robert Reid described the job market.
