Orlando Magic point guard Jameer Nelson is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks after knee surgery, the team said in a statement on Wednesday.
The All-Star player, who was out of action for four months following shoulder surgery in February, will have an arthroscopic procedure on Thursday to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.
Nelson, 27, suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Monday's 97-91 win against the Charlotte Bobcats and had an MRI scan on Wednesday.
He is averaging 13.7 points and a team-high 5.5 assists per game for the 8-3 Magic this season.
