LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to 111-104 victory over the Miami Heat on Friday, the visitors grinding out an impressive win despite Dwyane Wade's 36-point effort for the hosts.

Miami had won six of seven to start the season in style and although Wade was able to win the All-Star battle, title contenders Cleveland had more strength in depth over the course of the game.

Wade was outstanding again, following up on two 40-point performances with another prolific display, including a devastating first quarter dunk that left Cleveland's Brazilian center Anderson Varejao sitting on the floor.

James was also in dominating form with 34 points, and with Mo Williams (25 points) offering plenty of support, Cleveland (6-3) always appeared in control and never looked like allowing Miami a way back into the game.
