Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James has revealed how a cancer scare earlier this year shook him up.
Last season's NBA MVP told an American newspaper that in January doctors found a growth in the right side of his jaw a biopsy was taken for testing.
While the doctors didn't think it was cancer, LeBron faced a "nerve-racking" wait for results, according to The Cleveland Plain Dealer.
"I was working with some good professionals," James said.
"They were telling me they didn't think it was cancer, but we had to be sure, of course.
"I wasn't scared, but it wasn't something I was comfortable with."
The growth came back as benign and he had surgery after the Cavaliers' season was over in June to remove it.
A week of bed rest after the operation was the only setback for a relieved James.
