The Golden State Warriors have shipped disgruntled forward Stephen Jackson and guard Acie Law to the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for guard Raja Bell and forward Vladimir Radmanovic.

Jackson, 31, has averaged 16.6 points and 3.9 rebounds for the Warriors (3-6) this season. Last summer, the 10-year NBA veteran had demanded the Warriors trade him.

"I know Stephen, he loves to play, and we've got to make it work out - and I'm confident it will," Charlotte coach Larry Brown told ESPN.com.

"Stephen gives us a lot of flexibility, but we lost a lot. Raja's probably as good a defender as there is in the league at his position, and tough, and Vlade was an unbelievable teammate.

"But you make a trade and hope it helps your team, and you hope it helps the other team, too.

Jackson has averaged 15.5 points and 3.8 rebounds with five teams during his NBA career. He was with the San Antonio Spurs during their 2002-03 championship season.

Charlotte, looking to capitalise on Jackson's scoring ability, has lost four straight and is 3-6 on the season.

Bell, 33, has appeared in five games for the Bobcats this season, averaging 12 points and 4.2 rebounds. The 28-year-old Radmanovic has averaged 4.9 points and 3.6 rebounds, while Law, 24, is scoring 6.2 points a game.
