The Burger King Breakers may be without two of their first-choice starting five for Thursday night's pivotal Australian basketball league home game against the Wollongong Hawks.

Swingman Thomas Abercrombie is still a week away from returning from an ankle injury, while Breakers coach Andrej Lemanis reveals another key member of their rotation is also in doubt.

Lemanis says they're waiting to see how Rick Rickert recovers from an ankle injury he suffered against the Crocs last Wednesday.

Thursday night's game is a must-win for the Breakers if they're to reach the playoffs for a third straight year.
