The Breakers were motivated by Paul Henare's 200th game for the club on Friday night in an 85-73 win in Townsville.

Friday might have been the players chance to recognise a great stalwart of the club but this Thursday it is the fans who get to acknowledge the only remaining foundation player left at the club when the Breakers host Cairns at the North Shore Events Centre.

It has been a wonderful career so far for Henare, who in addition to being the Breakers all time leader in games played and assists (778) also sits second in steals (180), fifth in scoring (1190), fourth in rebounds (549) and third in blocks (46).

Friday's win was built on the back of a much improved shooting game from the Breakers as they improved dramatically from the Wednesday night loss in Cairns.

Here are some of the numbers from the win over Crocodiles;

CJ Bruton had a game high 24 points, becoming the third player in the league to score 200 points this season (207 @ 17.3 ppg).

Dillon Boucher led the rebounding count for the Breakers with eight boards including four defensive boards to take him past 500 ANBL career defensive rebounds.

John Rillie came off the bench to contribute eight points against his former team-mates having being released by the Crocs at the end of last season

The Breakers now face a rematch against Cairns with their series tied 1-1. The overall home record against the Taipans is only 5-7 but the Breakers have won the last two encounters at the NSEC including a convincing 95-75 season opener.

There are a number of milestones that have the potential to be passed on Thursday night, not forgetting it is an opportunity for the fans and media to acknowledge Henare's 200th game for the club.

Tony Ronaldson extends his ANBL appearance record by making his 650th appearance. In addition he requires just 14 points to become only the fifth player to score 10,000 points in the league.

CJ Bruton requires six points to reach 700 points for the Breakers (11th all time) and a single assist for 1600 career assists.

Both Rick Rickert needing two and Dillon Boucher requiring 10 are in sight of the 500 rebounds mark for the club.
