American Rickert wants to be a Tall Black

Breakers centre Rick Rickert is in a race against time to become eligible for the Tall Blacks before the basketball World Champs in Turkey next year.

The championship tips off in August but Rickert would have to have his citizenship by July at the very latest

Rickert is confident he has credentials to become a 'Yankiwi' and can't see why he couldn't become a dual citizen with Yankee and Kiwi ties.

Meanwhile the Breakers are back on court at the North Shore Events Centre on Thursday night playing host to the Townsville Crocs.
