Our enthusiastic, energetic yet shy hero plays the lead role in
this set of tales about everyday life.
Bali lives in an apartment in a large town - a far cry from life in a typical suburban semi - and is a true city dweller, in tune with the concerns and daily triumphs and trials faced by young children today.
The relationships surrounding Bali reflect those of today's modern society - Bali's mother is a dynamic young woman; his father, very close to his son, represents the 'new man' generation; his grandparents are young and energetic; and the parents of his young neighbour are divorced.
Because both his parents work, he is looked after by a nanny, at whose house he meets his friend Tamara. Bali's dad is very hands-on in his upbringing.
The unique graphics, bold colours, vivid scenery and engaging music that run through the Bali series will appeal to children aged 2 to 6.
Younger children will see Bali as a role model, whereas older children will recognise their own experiences as they follow Bali's daily adventures.
