S8 - Episode 3 - Recap

Screened Tuesday, September 26 at 8.30pm:

Natalie Buxton (Dannielle Brent) is in a drug haze and barely coping since Pat Kerrigan (Liz May Brice) forced a fistful of drugs down her throat. But she is determined to have her revenge.

Meanwhile, new inmate Angela Robbins (Annette Badland) arrives on G-Wing. She has been sent down for arson and attempted murder but it seems a strange sort of justice system, as Angela looks like she wouldn't say boo to a goose.

Janine Nebeski (Nicola Stapleton) has hit rock bottom; since losing her family and being caught attempting to smuggle drugs in to Larkhall, her future isn't rosy. It isn't helping that Governing Governor Joy Masterson (Ellie Haddington) wants to make an example of her. And to make matters even worse Janine is too scared to admit who put her up to the drugs smuggling. With no one to turn to Janine is soon resorting to drastic measures to get rid of her anger and depression.

Bev (Amanda Barrie) is not impressed to discover Angela will be her replacement cell mate but she is won over when Angela reveals she loves keeping places neat and tidy and is happy to make sure Bev is very well looked after. Although Bev still misses her old cell mate Phyl, she's rather looking forward to someone doing her chores! But Angela is guarding a disturbing secret which is about to be revealed.

Meanwhile, DI Thackeray (Neil Conrich) puts pressure on PO Donny Kimber (Sid Owen) to find out where Emira's (Laura dos Santos) suspected terrorist husband is hiding. Donny succeeds in gaining Emira's trust and getting her to talk to an Imam - but will she reveal the whereabouts of her husband and will Donny's plan work?

Pat Kerrigan (Liz May Brice) warns Janine away from Natalie and drugs but Janine won't listen; drugs are all she's got at the moment as even kind Prison Officer Donny seems to have turned against her. If only she could get close to him again.

Meanwhile, behind closed doors, the sexual tension between Dr Rowan Dunlop and Lou reaches boiling point - they can resist each other no longer.
