Wallace's blog: Back Benches road show - summer tour towns and dates
Looking back over 2011, one of the personal highlights for me was before the working year really even kicked in. It was packing the shorts and sunnies and suntan lotion and notes on local issues, into a bag and traipsing off around NZ with the Back Benches road show.
There was Nick Smith, Maryan Street and Kevin Hague in Nelson; Amy Adams, Lianne Dalziel in Akaroa; David Parker, Jacqui Dean and Dave Clendon in Queenstown; Keith Locke, Colin King, Brendan Burns in Kaikoura - it was a total blast taking the live pub show through the South Island.
This time, and for probably the last time, we head to the central North Island. So below are the towns and the dates.
Apologies to those who emailed asking us to come to their city - Palmy North wanted to host a show, and many from Christchurch said a post earthquake Back Benches show, replicating the one we had at the Dux a couple of years back would be ace - but budgets are limited.
So here are the four dates, and be sure you bookmark them. We'd love to see you in the area and at the pub down at the local helping us riff on the regional issues and the year in front. Thanks for supporting, and being part of Back Benches in the 2011.
