Profile: A highly skilled and vastly experienced defender, Ivan Vicelich is one of the longest serving All Whites.
After retiring from the national side in 2009, Auckland City's Vicelich answered a call from Ricki Herbert to make his return on the eve of the 2009 Confederations Cup following an injury to skipper Ryan Nelsen.
Vicelich is a versatile and strong player, who spent many of his formative years in the Netherlands before helping Auckland to an OFC Champions League, a FIFA Club World Cup 5th place finish and a NZFC title in 2009.
This 33-year-old is sure to play a big role in South Africa in
2010 and will no doubt be a great mentor for the younger players
playing on the big stage for the first time in their careers.
