All Blacks coach Graham Henry concedes Sunday morning's test against France in Marseille will define their season.

The All Blacks have played 13 tests but won only nine and Henry says there's an element of truth to talk of a season defining Test.

He says if they don't win it will be considered an average year, if they do win it's been ok.

Conditions are clear in Marseille for the 49th clash between the two teams.

The All Blacks have won 35 of those clashes, but the French remain supremely confident after the infamous 2007 Cardiff win and victory over the Springboks only a fortnight ago.

The New Zealand coach Henry says to go though Europe unbeaten following a test win in Tokyo would be a great achievement.

The All Blacks have retained the Bledisloe Cup and Sir Edmund Hilary Shield this year, but lost the Tri-Nations title and Dave Gallaher trophy.

Kick off is at 8:45am NZ time.

In other games Ireland have stunned South Africa 15-10, Argentina has defeated Scotland 9-6 while Italy has overcome Samoa 24-6.
