After dramatically being axed by the Hurricanes in 2011, Andrew Hore of the Highlanders is once again battling with Keven Mealamu to be the All Blacks number one hooker. Strong and uncompromising, he specialises in turnovers and has an incredible knack for try scoring. In fact, he once scored three tries in one game for the Hurricanes against the Chiefs, the first and only time a hooker has scored a hat-trick in Super Rugby. In 2009 Hore played his 200th first-class game in the Super 14 semi-final - also against the Chiefs - which was a true landmark of his durability. Hore was part of the 2011 World Cup winning All Blacks' squad.
