Syndication Help
TVNZ RSS Feeds
Don't want to be the last to know?
Now you'll never be out of touch with what's happening in news, sports, and television.
TVNZ has started syndicating its content using RSS (commonly known as 'Really Simple Syndication'). This allows you to see when the tvnz.co.nz website content has changed, using external feed readers and other websites that can read RSS.
This means you can see tvnz.co.nz's latest articles as soon as they are published.
It allows you to to subscribe to dozens of specific sections of the tvnz.co.nz website and keep up to date.
You will then be able to get the latest headlines and video in one place, without having to go to the parts of tvnz.co.nz you have taken the feed from.
Sounds great! How do I start?
You can use a news reader or an application that support RSS like Yahoo mail or Gmail.
There are many news readers available some of which are free. Some news readers are downloaded onto your computer and others are accessed with your web browser.
Then you can subscribe to an RSS feed.
You will find the orange RSS logo featured across the site. If you want to keep up to date with the latest world headlines for example, you'll find a RSS logo next to Headlines on the One News World page.
You can subscribe to an RSS feed by:
- dragging the logo onto your news reader
- right-clicking the logo and selecting "Copy Shortcut" or Copy Link Location" to copy the content URL, which you can then paste into the appropriate place in your news reader.
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox 1.5 will automatically discover RSS feeds.
TVNZ RSS feeds are protected by New Zealand and international copyright laws and are available for personal, non-commercial use only.
