The All Whites will wear lightweight, environmentally friendly football jerseys when they step on the world stage in June.
At the World Cup in South Africa, skipper Ryan Nelsen and his players will don shirts and shorts made from recycled plastic bottles collected from Japanese and Taiwanese landfill sites.
Sportwear company Nike unveiled the New Zealand kit on Thursday, which the company said was 15 percent lighter than the previous gear.
The jersey features a V-neck collar, on the back of which are the words New Zealand. The crest on the front has a silver fern above the words New Zealand Football.
The outplayers' home strip is white except for a stripe of black on each sleeve and down the side of the shorts. The change strip is black.
The goalkeepers' first colour is blue, with green and silver as
alternates.
Thumbs-up
All Whites goalkeeper Glen Moss gave the new kit the thumbs-up.
"It looks good and it feels great," he said, as midfielder Tim Brown stood nearby.
"It's lighter and hopefully it will make guys like Tim run that bit faster and get to the ball that bit quicker."
The All Whites will wear their new gear for the first time in their pre-World Cup fixture against Australia in Melbourne on May 24.
Eight other teams in South Africa will have Nike's new national team jerseys: five-time champions Brazil, Australia, the Netherlands, Portugal, the United States, South Korea, Serbia and Slovenia.
