20/20 host Sonya Wilson joined the team in 2008.

She began working in television in 1998 starting at Invercargill's Mercury TV before embarking on the slow shuffle north, firstly to TVNZ's Christchurch newsroom then to Wellington for TVNZ's Breakfast.

Sonya then did a three-year stint travelling the world before returning to the capital to work as a reporter for ONE News where arts and entertainment stories were her forte.

Formerly a 20/20 reporter, Sonya took over hosting duties in 2011.
