The Wrestler
We go inside the ring and mix it up with New Zealand's
pro-wrestlers. By day they seem like such normal Kiwis, working as
accountants, IT workers and students. But come the night they turn
into body slamming, head bashing, fluorescent tube smashing
brawlers. You can almost smell the testosterone on their breath.
What makes them don make-up and tight pants? Is this just big boy
playtime? Or is it the real thing?
Jungle Captives
An amazing story of survival. Three men, trapped in a
doomed plane, plunge 12,000 feet into the Columbian jungle. Hidden
under the foliage is an army of vicious terrorists. They survived
the crash, only to be taken hostage and held in shackles for five
years. How did they survive? How did they escape?
Predator TV
They called it Predator TV, but who was the real predator? The
police go on a sting to catch sexual predators, but a team of TV
producers hijack the operation and end up calling the shots. Is
it is a case of reality TV going bad? You won't believe what
happens when the law enforcement business turns into show
business.
A Stranger Within
It is a summer camp unlike any you've seen or heard before. They
call it Camp Tic-a-palooza. It's a safe haven for kids who've
become strangers in their own bodies - victims of Tourettes
syndrome. The outside world has judged them badly, but if you look
past the screaming, barking, swearing and twitching you'll meet
some remarkable kids.
A Medical Drama
A medical drama that no-one scripted. The success of shows like
Grey's Anatomy is causing headaches for the medical profession.
Patients have begun self diagnosing, embracing medical jargon and
recommending their own treatment. Life has begun to imitate art. We
examine the fallout.
