Following on from the release of Toy Story 1 and 2 on Blu Ray,
Disney continues to release its wonderful Pixar back
catalogue.
Cars sees Lightning McQueen, a brash arrogant car (voiced by Owen
Wilson) trying to find his way home after getting lost in a small
village.
Monsters Inc is about Mike and Sulley, two Monsters who help power
their world by utilising childrens' screams - but when Sulley
accidentally brings a human kid into their world, all hell breaks
loose.
Ratatouille sees Remy the Rat (and wannabe gourmand) guide a French
chef to fame in Paris - but the partnership wreaks havoc on the
city of love.
All three of these releases look wonderful on the Blu Ray HD world
and it's a natural progression that the state of the art animation
would be upgraded - but it's the films' simplicities and great
scripts which shine. The animation as ever is stunning and the high
def really brings them to life - and even breathes a bit of new
life into these re-releases.
With a raft of extras on each disc, these are essential releases
come the summer holidays - and not just for the kids; families
everywhere will love them.
