Back To The Future: Blu Ray

Back To The Future Trilogy - Blu Ray

Rating: PG
Released by Universal Home Video

Some films are classics and timeless fun.

The Back To The Future trilogy is one of these - unleashed on Blu Ray for the first time and some 25 years since it was first released, it still holds up astonishingly well.

Michael J Fox was at a career high in this - here he's Marty McFly, a time travelling kid who thanks to the involvement of Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) finds himself back in his own past - and battling to save himself from being erased from existence.

Over the three films, McFly goes to the past, the present and the future in the iconic DeLorean car - with humour and great family entertainment in mind, this film's lost none of its original charm.

This latest set comes with some five hours of extra features - including docos about the film, outtakes - there's plenty to just sit back and watch as well as appreciating the high definition quality on offer.

But really with Back To The Future, the first film still remains the best - and no matter how souped up it looks in HD, you can't argue with the quality that both Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis created.

Rating: 8/10
